Wait for fees to drop
Depending on Ethereum's congestion levels, gas prices fluctuate up and down every 12 seconds. When gas prices are high, simply waiting a few minutes before transacting may see a significant drop in the fees you pay.
Use a second layer
Layer 2 chains are built on top of Ethereum and have lower fees and process more transactions. They are a good option for saving on fees for transactions that don't need to be made on the Ethereum mainnet.
