Privacy is an interesting topic that the Dogecoin community is actively engaged in. First, it’s worth acknowledging that every transaction on the blockchain is public. That is, if you have a public wallet address, anyone can potentially see any record of a Dogecoin transaction! This is why, if you want to remain anonymous, you should be extra careful not to claim any public address as yours.
If you have a hardware wallet, you can create new random public addresses for new transactions after previous transactions have occurred. Some people prefer to do this for anonymity and privacy reasons, and you can even create multiple accounts under the same mnemonic so that Dogecoins can be stored in different accounts depending on their purpose (e.g., account 1 for daily transactions, account 2 for charity, etc.).
But ultimately, please be extra careful that the blockchain is a public ledger that can see a record of Dogecoin transactions at all times. In addition, even if public addresses are not directly linked to a person or organization, at some point in the future computer scientists may be able to de-anonymize public addresses and link them to their owners.
